Pakistan Intermodal Limited can be regarded to be the latest initiative by the Marine Group companies that are found in Pakistan. Its objective is to enhance the intermodal service in Pakistan by using freight operations that adhere both to international standards both at the regional level and local level.This company helps in availing road-rail connectivity and possessing ports. Their objective is to provide efficient logistics solutions and help in coming up with a cost-effective transportation both in the local and global corridors. As noted by the organization, some of the advantages that are associated with intermodal transportation consist of the reduction in costs. For example, using trucks and rail greatly saves on fuel costs. This is because trains do not consume a lot of diesel as compared to the trucks.
