Healthcare management is the oversight, management and administration of systems of healthcare, public health, networks of hospitals or individual hospitals. It is the duty of healthcare managers to ensure that healthcare employees being hired are qualified and that various departments in health care facilities are run smoothly. It is also upon them to ensure that there is efficient dissemination of information throughout an organization. More basically and from an individualistic perspective, it is the duty of health care managers to ensure that the care needs of individuals within the society are met. It is from this perspective, therefore, that Mrs. X’s case is reviewed for various care needs and achievable and desirable goals formulated as discussed henceforth.

At 72 years of age, Mrs. X is definitely in the aged category of the population. Mobility problems emanating from previously suffered stroke are impacting feelings of isolation in her life. The aforementioned issue has also made it difficult for her to get into the bath and therefore bathing becoming an issue. She has no installed shower to eradicate the bath burden. Additionally, two steps outside her front door are a real nightmare for her. With her mobility issue, climbing or going down the steps is hard for Mrs. X. additionally, due to her inability to drive, she is having difficulties going shopping. She also has no one to rely on because her family are not in close proximity. On a positive note however, she still manages to do her cooking as well as routinely maintenance of her house. Going to a lunch club on a bus is a source of joy for her. It is from there that she gets the opportunity to spend time with her friends. Her neighbors are also good enough to help her maintain her garden.
