There are various types of mass storage techniques available such as external hard drive, tape drive, USB storage, hard drives, etc. The two main types of mass storage technologies are;
1. Storage area network: Storage area network is also termed as SAN. The data storage needs of the business operations of an organization are met by the storage area network which works with the LAN and WAN. There are certain benefits attached to this storage:
A. The utilization of the disk can be better with the help of storage area network as more data can be stored on the single disk.
B. The time wasted in the backup of data can be eliminated with the help of storage area network.
2. Network attached storage: Network attached storage is termed as NAS and is used in the organizations to back up the data. Benefits of NAS are;
A. The implementation of the network attached storage is not a complicated task hence, specialized knowledge is not required.
B. This storage system is affordable as compared to other options available in the market.
Task: Examples of the use of real-time operating systems
Real-time operating system is an application that is used to complete the task in the specified time period. The examples on the use of RTOS are;
1. Lynx Software Technology: This operating system is used in the aerospace, defense, and communication system for the purpose of real-time operating system activities.
2. eCos: eCos stands for Embedded Configurable Operating System is the type of real-time operating system which can be customized according to the need of the real time. It is compatible with the applications named as C and C++.
3. RTLinux: RTLinux is a real time operating system which helps in controlling the time sensitive instruments. Hard real-time capabilities are designed by RTLinux.
4. QNX: QNX software is broadly used in cars and mobile phones. The software is popular as the first commercial microkernel which means the availability of that mechanism which is required for implementation of the operating system.

Cloud computing is the process in which all the working in the computers is controlled through the internet. There are various uses of cloud computing in different sectors, one of the major use of cloud computing is in the health care. The issues that cloud computing can face in health care are;
1. As the data in the healthcare sector is considered to be confidential, hence it is important to keep the proper security measures about its privacy. Transfer of this confidential information to a third party is an issue for adoption of cloud computing in healthcare.
2. The legal issues that cloud computing carries are also one of the issues in the adoption of cloud computing. The issues such as data jurisdiction and privacy issues cause hindrance for cloud computing. In the health care, HIPAA and PATRIOT are also certain issues to be considered.
Technical aspects of cloud computing such as a limit the access of information and use of outdated software may be considered as an issue in health care.
