Moreover, I observed that the engagement of students in their allocated word could be effective for making an interesting and interactive class. Furthermore, I increased my understanding about design thinking procedure that played an imperative role in obtaining favourable outcome. In design thinking, I enhanced my understanding of the application of managerial decision-making techniques in the organization together with using many components (Glen, Suciu, & Baughn, 2014). Further, I observed that communication plan, business plan, and optimum use of resources could directly impact in the blog writing. Moreover, I observed that planning of anything could assist an individual to get a positive result in the least time. Further, I also increased my knowledge about customer innovation. Apart from this, I observed that not only appropriate time innovative ideas could also be effective for effectively design process. In addition, I also observed that entrepreneurship could also be significant for getting higher success. I developed my knowledge about entrepreneurship role as it would support to make a reliable decision in the context of entrepreneurship. Moreover, I also increased my existing understanding about certain factors like the significance and challenges of entrepreneurship (Carlgren, Rauth, & Elmquist, 2016). Through this, I gained my personal as well as professional life in the context of design thinking. In the last day of the second module, I observed that I improved my skills that could be imperative in the obtainment of organization task.
In module 3, I gained my existing awareness towards the design thinking approaches in a reliable way. This module was more important as compared to another module herein we understood about the data that would be imperative in blog writing. There are certain theories of design thinking like action research, the logic of reasoning, co-creation, convergent thinking, learning theory, and divergent theory (Fischer, 2015). These approaches could be effective to write an efficient blog. I increased my awareness in the context of basic reasoning pattern that was imperative in solving the addressed issue in a systematic way. Moreover, I gained my existing awareness in the context of the deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, and abductive reasoning. Further, I observed that the inductive approach is practiced for evaluating and developing the possible hypothesis with respect to the current matter. It could be effective for declining the possibilities of task problem in a systematic way. In this, I observed that abductive reasoning is effective for determining the method by which any particular task will be accomplished in the upcoming period (Kangas, Seitamaa-Hakkarainen, & Hakkarainen, 2013). But, at the same time, I also observed that a deductive approach was imperative to accept and reject the developed hypothesis and make a reliable decision in the context of the current research matter. Besides this, I learned that these approaches facilitate me to improve my professional life for design thinking. In this week, I was very nervous about my presentation. But after the presentation skills, I was very confident to give the presentation on the front of others. It is observed that the presentation could be the best way to improve many skills as it could be associated with communication, confidence, professional, and personal skills. It could lead to obtaining a higher outcome in the least time and cost (Carlgren, 2013).
In this module, I increased my awareness about design issues and design tools to decline the design issues in a systematic way. I learned about many techniques and tools that aid an individual to solve issues of design like visualization, brainstorming, and spotting obvious. These techniques could be imperative in a finding of issues systematically (Plattner, Meinel, and Leifer, 2015). The knowledge about tools enables me to develop depth knowledge in the context of problem-solving. I also gained my knowledge about visualization acts that enable to influence blog writing.
In module fifth, I developed my awareness about value chain, journey mapping, value mind mapping, and network for appropriate design in a systematic way. I also enhanced my existing knowledge about the design thinking process tools named journey mapping and brainstorming (Mentzer, Becker, and Sutton, 2015). I observed that the design thinking principles could be effective in the design think as it considered many factors like Solving ‘wicked’ problems, Human-centered and empathetic, Observation, Visualisation, Prototyping, Experimentation, and active learning, and A ‘beginner’s mindset’. It could also be effective for making a reliable decision in the context of the current matter. I understood that the journey mapping process could also be essential in the design thinking like select the customer, Graphically represent your view of what the customer journey, looks like, Identify a small number of customers, Conduct interviews, Identify themes, Study themes, Choose 2 most relevant dimensions (2x2 matrix) (Miller, 2017).
In addition, I also observed that journey mapping is effective to comprehend graphics presentation as it would be advantageous for demonstrating the consumer experience with specified products and services. In this, I understood about many factors that could be effective in design thinking like visualization new idea, the establishment of available experience, and visualize possible experience, and development of the existing experience (Stimmel, 2015). I also observed that I observed then how an organization could influence their consumers for purchasing any goods and services. Initially, the organization will select appropriate consumers to identify their needs and the desire for particular goods and services. Then, the organization will select particular consumers to conduct an interview, which will also be effective for examining themes.
In this module, I increased my knowledge in the favour of adding value that would be imperative to offer added value in the process of business. I also gained my existing knowledge in the context of the generic value chain in which two acts could be imperative like primary and secondary activity. Moreover, I also observed that the primary activity of the supply chain could involve many factors such as operation, outbound logistics, inbound logistics, outbound, marketing and sales, and services (Chen & Venkatesh, 2013). It could also be imperative in getting a reliable result. Apart from this, support the activities of the supply chain could consider certain factors such as firm infrastructure, technology development, procurement, and human resources management. I also understood many factors that could be imperative in developing Mindmap. These types of data could be imperative in improving my personality caused of increasing my existing understanding in different sectors. I enhanced my learning about value chain analysis approach that could be imperative making an effective decision in an organization. It would also lead to getting higher competitive benefits. I increased my knowledge about the qualitative and quantitative approach that is used for collecting theoretical as well as factual information about the research matter (Erzurumlu & Erzurumlu, 2015). I also gained my understanding in the context of data collection method like primary and secondary data collection method. In this, I observed that primary data collection technique is effective for conducting especially to comprehend specific research matter. In contrast, secondary data collection technique is used to conceptually understand the concern of research and meet aim and objectives. In last, I understood how we apply mind mapping and get positive responses (Watson, 2015).
During this week, I have created my understanding about the sources of primary data. In this way, I have learned that there are different primary sources named questionnaire survey, interview-based survey, panel discussions, Delphi methods, and observations (Köppen & Meinel, 2015). This has also enhanced my awareness about the semi-structured and unstructured interview. I have increased my knowledge regarding the sources of secondary data such as books and journals, newspapers and magazines, government publications, website pages, and the internet. This week has built my understanding regarding the pros and cons of using primary and secondary data. I have also increased my knowledge about ethics. In this module, I have generated my awareness about ethics that could directly impact on conducting appropriate behaviour. Furthermore, it is defined as appropriateness of behaviour with respect to right of those who become subject of work. I have also gained my knowledge about the concept development, research process, and assumption testing where ethics could be required. Thus, I can conduct further research in this field (Lugmayr, Stockleben, Zou, Anzenhofer & Jalonen, 2014).
In this week, I gained my understanding about certain strategies as it can be effective in innovation launching. I enhanced my knowledge in the context of the two components that could be imperative in design launching like planning purpose and launch readiness content. In this, I also enhanced my existing awareness towards storyboard and prototype (Kim & Ryu, 2014). I realized that feedback could be imperative in the solving the deadline problems in a systematic way.
This week was also facilitate to me understand certain types of communication tools like word of mouth, social media, traditional media, partners, digital sources, and direct techniques. It will be effective to directly converse with their specified consumers and support to develop a favourable relationship with them in the upcoming period (Gasparini, 2015, February). I also understood that the communication skill could facilitate the manager to improve my personality and get a reliable outcome.
This was the last second week that was also imperative for me to comprehend the design entrepreneurial and fundraising campaigns. I understood about certain factors like finance human resources and fundraising as it would be imperative for innovation as well as entrepreneurial endeavours (Benson & Dresdow, 2014). Apart from this, I also realized that fundraising campaigns could be used to perform many activities as it could be related to the finance role, resources need an upcoming plan, time-frame, and recommendation.
Under this week, I presented whole data that I have observed or learned at the time of first to the tenth week. Through this week, I gained my understanding of how we give the presentation on the front of many persons. In this week, many classmates have presented their collected data as it was imperative for grooming out personality as well as gaining the understanding about presentation skills. In addition, I obtained many feedbacks from my classmates that were supportive to understand my positive and negative features. It was quite difficult to give the presentation but it was a very fantastic job.
This week was last week of mine that was very important for each student of the class. Under this, I increased my understanding of the context of the future scope of design. It is evaluated that the design thinking application was imperative to accomplish many activities related to productivity and organizational growth (Gasparini, 2015, February). This week, I also evaluate myself to improve my personality and get a reliable outcome. I used SWOT analysis for evaluating my characteristics. Along with that, I also make an action plan to eliminate my weakness and get a reliable outcome.
This technique was imperative to understand my strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threat as it leads to improving my skills in an appropriate manner (Kim & Ryu, 2014). Therefore, I practiced this tool and gaining my existing understanding about my personality in depth. The following table demonstrates the SWOT analysis:
Capable to understand the behavior of others
I have not patience that was a major issue for me.
I failed to easily express my actual thought in the front of others.
Active listening skills support to deeply analyze anything as it would be imperative to obtain a positive result.
The capability to understanding the behavior of others skills could facilitate to make a positive relationship with others.
Lack of patience could create issues for solving the issue in the least time and get a higher outcome.
Action Plan for improving my skills
The action plan is discussed by the following table:
Action Plan for improvement of Patience Level
Concepts and Models of patience level
Estimated time in (weeks)
Mixed model: Self-assessment
Through this model, I will be capable to examine my behavior.
This model will enable me to understand my emotions as well as behavior.
I will also be capable to manage myself and positive response on the behavior of others.
The action plan of communication skills
Concepts and Models of communication
