For the last few decades, many people across the entire globe have realized the many benefits associated with high-quality education. With this realization, the thirst for high-quality education has risen significantly, and many students across the whole world are ever looking for those world-class institutions which offer high-quality education to quest their thirst (Sallis, 2014). This urge has made many students travel to different nations with those world-class institutions to quest their thirst for high-quality education which will help them to compete favourably in the job market. In the current world, most of the top employee benefits are looking for those highly-qualified employees who have pursued their education in the institutions which are recognized in offering the required quality of education. Most of the employers believe that the performance of the employees at the workplace is highly-dependent on the quality of education they got especially in their tertiary levels, and that’s the reason they are so concerned about the quality of education of their target employees and the institutions attended by the employees (Mok. and Neubauer, 2016, pp.1-12).
Australia is one of those nations which are privileged to have some of the top-class institutions recognized in the whole world due to their high-quality education, and this is one of the major factors which have made Australia a very popular destination of many international students who are thirsty of this education (Hazelkorn, 2015). In addition to the quality of education offered in these Australian institutions, there are many other favorable factors which motivate many international students to pursue their education in Australia (Gomes et al., 2014, pp.2-15). In this research paper, we shall conduct detailed research for us to understand these major factors which have made Australia a very popular destination to many international students. Our source of information will be some surveys which we shall conduct where we shall involve some international students who study in Australia. We shall also use the data and other useful information available in some credible internet sources and other relevant materials to help us to understand our topic in details. This research is very important as it will help us to understand the main factors which influence international students to study in Australia and other important information about international studies, especially in Australia.
This section is very important in our research as it will pose the main question of our research, and the research question is the main reason why the research was carried out (Jenset, Klette, and Hammerness, 2017). The main question of the research tries to analyze the main factors which influence many international students to undertake their studies in Australia. The question will be answered by collecting the required data and information directly from the international students studying in Australia and gathering other useful data and information from the relevant and credible internet sources and other useful academic materials. This section will also cover the main objectives of the research, and these objectives will help us to understand what the researchers aimed to achieve when carrying out the research.
What are the main factors which influence international students to study in Australia?
1. What are the main factors which influence the travel plans of international students in Australia?
2. The main objectives of the research are:
3. To help us understand the main factors which influence many international business students to study in Australia.
4. To help us understand the main factors which influence the travel plans of many international students in Australia.
1. Understanding the work status of most international students who study in Australia.
2. Understanding the main age groups of most international students who study in Australia.
3. Understanding the world regions where most of the international students in Australia come from and how did they get to know about education offered in Australia.
4. Understanding what most of the international students enjoy most when undertaking their studies in Australia.
5. Understanding who travelled together with these international students who study in Australia.
6. Understanding the most common types of accommodation used by most of the international students who study in Australia.
However, it’s good to remember that the main topic of our research was the major factors which influence international students to study in Australia. Therefore, we shall concentrate on this topic in our discussion, and the other relevant information (objectives) which will be achieved in the course of the research will be summarized in the appendix section with the relevant data tabulated accordingly.
Methodology
The methodology which was used in this research was hybrid or mixed research methodology (Creswell and Clark, 2017). The hybrid methodology was preferred to either qualitative or quantitative methodologies since it allows the researchers to collect and analyze data in all the formats which could be either numerical or non-numerical formats. This methodology made the research smooth since the researchers had to collect and analyze some qualitative and some quantitative data in the research process.
The sampling design which was used in the research is simple random sampling where all the participants in the research were given equal probabilities of participating in the research (Hamada and Ryan, 2016, pp.309-314). The researchers visited various Australian institutions which have international students who were to participate in the research. The international students to participate in the research were selected randomly where each of the international students had an equal probability of participating in the research. The use of simple random sampling helped to achieve unbiased results in the research since the participants were chosen without any bias.
The main data collection method used in the research was the interview method which made the data collection very effective and successful (Brinkmann, 2014, pp.1008-1010). The researchers engaged the participants of the research in a direct oral interview where the willing participants were supposed to respond to some oral questions which were prepared by the researchers. 60 participants (international students) from a recognized world-class higher institution willingly participated in the research and answered all the interview questions asked by the research methodology. To handle the cases of irregularities, the researchers were very friendly and asked some supplementary questions to the interviewees to help in assuring the responses given are correct and credible. The interview method worked very well, and all the required data was collected with much ease, and this made the research methodology very successful.
