Every industry has to face some of the challenges. Supermarket retail is one of the industries that faces fierce competition in the market. This is the most attractive industry in Australia after mining industry. It has been identified that it is a very capital intensive industry. This is because entry to the industry requires a large amount of capital to be invested in the business. In Australia, the industry has some of the top players that have their place I the industry that is very difficult to deal with. Some of the top players are Woolworths and Coles. Other than that, Aldi is one of the foreign player that has entered the industry and achieving continuous growth. Trends in the industry suggests that suppliers have decreased their investment with Woolworths.
