Part 1: Revised ERD and schema

For this database create and submit the ERD which you are going to use as your implementation base.

Explain the changes you have made in the ERD in one or two paragraph keeping the feedback from the assignment 1 as a base and/or as a result of supporting the new functionality and views explained in this assignment.

Show the relational schema in 3NF that will be the basis of your implemented design. Use the following conventions to show your relations.

RELATIONAL_NAME(Primary Key, Attribute, Attribute, …Foreign Key)

Part 2: Data dictionary 

Produce a data dictionary for your database. You must include this:

For each table: define each column (attribute), consist column name, short description of what it represents, its size and data type,  domain (allowable values), default value if any, whether it is required, unique or not, and any constraints (primary key, foreign key). Use the data types consist in oracle.

There is a foreign key for each column, give the suitable referential integrity rules (i.e. the “on delete…; on update” etc actions should be applied when equivalent primary key is changed). The suitable action should be added whether or not there is a statement in oracle to apply it.

Any business rule (enterprise constraints) that should implement to the database that haven’t already been covered by cardinality or take part in constraints.

NOTE: your data dictionary must be consistent with your ERD and schema.

Part 3: Implementation

Apply the tables in the given database in oracle SQLPlus on arion.murdoch.edu.au.

Note the following:

1. All the tables should be formed on the basis of your ERD and data dictionary; your ERD will be checked by your maker against your tables. You do not need to take the SQL CREATE TABLE statements used by you to make the tables.
2. All the entity and referential integrityconstraints should be formed and suitably named.
3. All the columns (attributes) should be of a suitable data type/size and be set as needed, unique or not as relevant.

Implementation of all domain constraints is necessary.

All the tables should be filled with samples data that will give the permission to the creators to test that your database will complete the application development requirements as a specified and helps the exchange and shows the listed below. Also, give the same data sample in your word document. If you use a screen dump, the size should be readable without zooming in.

NOTE: Do not need to include the SQL INSERT statements that you used to add the data.

On all database SELECT, UPDATE, INSERT AND DELETE permissions should be granted (particularly tables and views) to the user markets. This is very important. You have to grant this permission in order to get your this part of the assignment marked by the makers and to get marks for it.

You have to state in your documentation whether you have used your V account or H account.

Part 4: Views

Produce VIEWS for the following in Oracle (views names should be ViewA, ViewB etc).

NOTE: some of these have changed from assignment 1 in the line with Peter’s new requirements.

You have to provide the CREATE VIEW statements used by you to produce the views in your word document. These have to be as text, not screen dumps.

Members represented in the database and the details of the skills offered y them, listed in alphabetical order of the last name.

The amount of different skills/services offered in each category.

A list of numbers (names and phone numbers) who logged in for Bill Bokashi’s one-off workshop on composting.

Name of the members who went to every event held in the year.

All the future events (title, date, location) in the provided postcode for the upcoming month (i.e. the full next calendar month).

Details (title, description, date, location, host(s) name) of all the programs mentioned as cacti.

Names of anny of those members who have hosted events more than they have attended.

All events (title, date) joined by a particular individual.

Member’s names and phone numbers who have crossed 70s Marathon club attended by the rose pruning workshop.

The total number of places available for the “Know your Grevilleas” event series.
